DIY Ocean Glitter Slime and Save The Fish Activity

This was so much fun to do! Ashley loved every minute of making her own slime. The best part is you only need three ingredients to make this fun ocean glitter ocean slime.

What you'll need for this activity :

  1. 6 oz Elmers Glitter Glue (We picked blue)

  2. Contact Lens Solution (We picked the lubricating + rewetting eye drops from Target)

  3. Baking Soda (You will need approx. 1/2 tbsp)

  4. Toy sharks (optional for shark week play)

  5. Small toy fish (optional for shark week play)

Now, you are ready to go!

First, Ashley poured all of the Elmers glitter glue into the bowl. She loved doing this and kept saying how beautiful and glittery it was.

Second, Ashley added 1/2 tbsp of baking soda into the bowl with the glitter glue.

Then, she slowly added 1/4 tbsp contact lens solution.

Ashley was very excited and immediately began stirring the mixture.

We slowly kept adding 1/4 tbsp contact lens solution until the slime had a nice consistency. To be honest I was surprised when we ended up using all 8 mL of contact lens solution to ensure that the slime was not too sticky and perfect for play.

Once the slime was ready for play, Ashley placed the play fish and sharks. She kept trying to save the fish from the hungry shark.

Once she was done playing with the fish, she said that pirates were coming and she had to save the sharks. I guess that was all the conservation talks we had about sharks. Haha.

All in all, this is one activity your little is sure to enjoy. Once they are done you can store the slime in an air tight container for another day of play.
